A lesson only helps if it’s about the work your child is doing at school this week. That’s where every KeirEd lesson begins.
A tutor matched to your child
Jake talks with you about how your child learns and what hasn’t worked before, and we choose the tutor from that. You see the tutor’s profile before the first lesson.
Starts from what’s due
Bring the homework sheet or the assignment task, and the lesson starts there. When a question shows a gap from an earlier year, the tutor goes back and fixes that first.
At home or online, 7 days a week
Lessons run between 7am and 10pm, online or in your home in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast or another capital city. Online lessons use Lessonspace, a shared whiteboard your child opens from a link with nothing to download.
Recordings and resources, free
Every online lesson is recorded, so your child can rewatch an explanation before a test. They also get free access to KeirEd+ Resources, our practice worksheets with full answers.
The same tutor every week
Your child keeps the same tutor, so they don’t have to start again with someone new. Lessons can run through the school holidays too.
A note after every lesson
The tutor tells you what your child worked on and what’s still giving them trouble. Every 10 lessons you also get a progress report, so you don’t have to wait for the report card.
Know who’s teaching your child
Before a tutor teaches any KeirEd student, they pass an interview and ID check and a review of their experience and references, and they hold the working with children clearance their state requires.

Jake calls you, then we choose a tutor
Jake asks what your child needs help with and which times suit your family. Within 48 hours we text and email you the tutor’s profile and a time for the first lesson.
The first lesson
The first lesson is a discovery session. The tutor finds where your child is up to, starts on the topic causing trouble and plans the lessons ahead. You get a written note straight after. If it isn’t the right fit, you don’t pay.
Start with the next school milestone
Bring the topic, report feedback or assessment date that prompted you to look for help. Starting before a deadline leaves more room for practice and questions.

What does OLNA tutoring cover?

Can my child focus on just one OLNA component?
Tell us which component your child needs: reading, writing or numeracy. Your school confirms the assessment requirements and test window.
What if my child has gaps in OLNA?
A difficult task can rely on skills from earlier years. When a question shows a gap from an earlier year, the tutor goes back and fixes that first, then returns to the current work.
How much does tutoring cost?
$79 per one-hour lesson online and $99 per one-hour lesson in your home in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast or another capital city. There’s no package to buy, and no card is needed until after the first lesson.
After the first lesson, lessons are billed each Monday for the week ahead. Cancel a lesson with at least 8 hours’ notice and you’re not charged for it.
What if an assessment is coming up soon?
We match a tutor within 48 hours of your call, so lessons can start before the assessment. The tutor plans the lessons around the date, with revision and timed practice before it.
Do you offer one-on-one or in-home tutoring?
Yes. Our tutoring is one-on-one, online anywhere in Australia or in your home in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast or another capital city, depending on tutor availability in your area. Online lessons run on Lessonspace, a shared whiteboard your child opens from a link, with nothing to download.
Our small-group Programs follow the Queensland curriculum, so they are for Queensland students in Years 7 to 12.
What if the tutor isn’t the right fit?
If the first lesson isn’t the right fit, you don’t pay for it and we find a different tutor. If the fit stops working later on, we rematch you at no cost.
