KeirEd wants families, students and tutors to be able to read, navigate and contact us without unnecessary barriers.
This statement explains the accessibility standard we are working toward, the limitations we know about, and how to ask for help if something on the website gets in the way.
A practical benchmark for accessible access
We use WCAG 2.2 Level AA as the technical benchmark for the KeirEd website and we are working through improvements in priority order.
Respectful access
Families should be able to find key tutoring information and contact KeirEd without needing a workaround first.
Plain information
We aim to write important policies, contact paths and tutoring information in plain Australian English.
Progressive fixes
We prioritise high-use pages and barriers that stop people from enquiring, booking or getting support.

Legal and guidance context
AustraliaKeirEd recognises its responsibilities under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth). We also take guidance from the Australian Human Rights Commission, which points organisations toward accessible digital products and services.
WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the practical benchmark we are working toward for this website. This statement should not be read as a guarantee that every page or third-party tool is fully conformant today.
Conformance status
WCAG 2.2 AAThe Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 define testable requirements for making web content more accessible. The guidelines have three conformance levels: A, AA and AAA.
The KeirEd website aims to conform with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. At this stage the website is partially conformant, which means some content or features may not yet fully meet the standard. We are actively working toward stronger conformance.
What we are doing
Measures- Reviewing pages against WCAG 2.2 Level AA using a mix of automated checks and manual review.
- Prioritising barriers that affect contact, enquiries, tutoring information, support and policy pages.
- Improving colour contrast, focus visibility, link recognition, page landmarks and keyboard navigation.
- Keeping accessibility in mind when we publish new website pages, forms and parent-facing resources.
Compatibility
Browsers and toolsThe KeirEd website is designed to work with current versions of major browsers, including Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge, on recent desktop and mobile operating systems.
We design and test with common assistive technology behaviours in mind, including keyboard navigation, browser zoom and screen readers such as VoiceOver and NVDA. The site may not work reliably with browsers more than two major versions old.
Technical basis
Website codeAccessibility of the KeirEd website relies on HTML, WAI-ARIA, CSS and JavaScript. These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.
Known limitations
Current constraints- Third-party systems: some embedded forms, booking tools, videos, payment services, learning platforms or other third-party features are provided by external companies. We cannot fully control their accessibility. If one of these creates a barrier, contact us and we will help another way.
- Supporting website pages: we are progressively reviewing and improving pages across the site, so some older or lower-traffic pages may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
- Downloadable documents: some older PDFs or files may not have been fully reviewed for accessibility. If you need a document in a different format, please contact us.
Assessment method
Self-evaluationKeirEd assesses accessibility by self-evaluation, using automated testing and manual checks against WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Automated tools help identify issues, but they do not replace human review, keyboard checks or feedback from people using the site.
