Who it’s for
Sound familiar?
Common worries from parents of Queensland students in Years 7 to 12. If one sounds like your child, we can talk it through on the free call.
Free 15-minute call about your child’s year level and subject.
She works hard, but her results don’t show it.
The diagnostic finds the topics she’s missing, so her effort stops going into work she already knows and goes into the gaps that will move her results.
His report card says he’s struggling, but I don’t know what to fix.
You see the specific topics that need work, not just a grade.
She’s losing confidence and avoids her homework.
She starts on the Foundations workbook if she needs to, gets questions right, and moves up to Connections and Challenge as her confidence comes back.
We’ve tried tutoring and not much changed.
Your child works at a level set by what they actually understand, and the same qualified teacher tracks their progress every week.
He’s on a B+ in senior Maths and wants an A.
The Challenge workbook gives him harder, unfamiliar problems to work through, and he can book one-on-one consultations with a teacher as often as he needs before an assessment.
Workbooks at three levels
One class, worked at your child’s level
Everyone in the class covers the same topics. The workbook has three levels, so a student who is catching up and a student aiming for an A can sit in the same class and both be working at the right level.
Foundations
Make the core ideas and methods reliable.
For a student with gaps to close. The questions rebuild the basics of each topic before moving on.
Connections
Combine skills and explain your thinking.
Questions that use more than one skill at a time and ask your child to show how they got the answer.
Challenge
Apply what you know to unfamiliar problems.
Harder, multi-step questions for a student who is ready to go further, including those aiming for an A.
Your child moves between levels as their work develops. Their teacher uses the diagnostic, the workbook and their assessment results to set the level.

Questions
What parents ask about the Programs

How the classes work
What is the KeirEd Program?
It is a weekly live online program for Queensland high school students in Years 7 to 12. We teach Maths, English and Science, plus senior subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Each class has 7 or fewer students, is taught by the same teacher every week, and includes a workbook, lesson recordings, practice exams, and unlimited one-on-one video consultations with our teachers.
Who are the teachers?
All of our teachers are experienced, qualified teachers who have classroom experience, not just tutoring. Our teachers are also subject experts.
When are the classes and how long are they?
Classes run after school on weekdays, and each class is 90 minutes. We match your child to a class time on the free call.
What does my child need to join?
A laptop or tablet with an internet connection. Classes run on Lessonspace, and your child joins with a link, so there’s nothing to download. We encourage cameras on because our classes are small and the students get to know each other, but it isn’t compulsory.
Why online and not face-to-face?
Online classes mean no driving across town after school, and your child can join from home. Every class is recorded, so if your child is sick or has sport, they can watch it later.
My child gets distracted online. Will this work for them?
Yes. That is why our classes have 7 or fewer students, and why we encourage cameras on. A large part of each class is individual practice with the teacher checking your child’s work, so they don’t get the chance to drift off.
We’re busy. How much time does this take each week?
One live class a week, plus workbook practice your child fits in around school. If they miss a class, the recording is there to catch up.
Curriculum, levels and one-on-one help
Is it aligned with what my child is learning at school?
Yes. We teach to the Australian Curriculum as it is implemented in Queensland in Years 7 to 10, and to the QCAA syllabuses in Years 11 and 12, so the work lines up with what your child’s school assesses.
Every school teaches topics in a different order. How does that work?
In Years 7 to 10, our classes follow the order most Queensland schools teach the curriculum in. If your child’s school is covering something different, they can get help with it in the student hub and in their one-on-one consultations.
If we cover a topic before their school does, your child gets early exposure to it. If we cover it after, they get revision. Each year builds on the one before, so nothing taught is wasted. In Years 11 and 12, classes follow the QCAA units, so the timing lines up closely with school.
My child is behind. Is this the right fit?
Yes. Every student sits a diagnostic when they join, so we know exactly where the gaps are from the first week. The workbook has questions at different levels, and a student who is behind starts with the ones that rebuild the basics before moving on.
My child is already doing well. Will they be bored?
No. The workbook includes harder questions for students who are ready to go further. Your child works at the level they have shown they can handle, even though they sit in the same class as everyone else.
Can my child do more than one subject?
Yes. Each subject is its own weekly class with its own diagnostic.
How do the one-on-one consultations work?
Your child books a 30-minute video consultation with a teacher whenever they need one. There is no limit on how many they book, and we have many hours available each week.
Can the consultations help with school assignments and exams?
Yes. Your child can book a consultation for any school assignment, assessment or exam, as many times as they need.
What if my child is too shy to speak up in class?
That is what the one-on-one consultations are for. Your child can book a private session with a teacher and ask anything without the rest of the class watching.
Trying it and getting started
Can we try it first?
Yes. After the free call, your child can join a class for a free trial lesson before you decide anything.
What happens after I book the call?
First, we talk through your child’s situation on a 15-minute phone call. If you’d like, your child then joins a class for a free trial lesson. When you enrol, your child sits a diagnostic so the teacher knows exactly where the gaps are. Then they start the full program.
What happens on the free call?
It is a 15-minute phone call. We talk through your child’s current situation, look at where the gaps are, and map out whether the KeirEd program is the right next step.
What do I need to prepare for the free call?
Just make sure anyone involved in the decision is available for the call. We will handle the rest.
How does the diagnostic work?
Your child completes a short assessment before their first class. Your child’s qualified teacher (the same one from their class) then marks it and sends you a video back with question-by-question feedback, showing you exactly what their grade actually means.
Can my child join partway through the term?
Yes. Students who join mid-term get onboarding and catch-up support, and the recordings of earlier classes are available to them.
Choosing, commitment and payment
Should my child do a Program or 1:1 tutoring?
A Program suits a Queensland student in Years 7 to 12 who wants a structured term with a qualified teacher, a class of 7 or fewer and unlimited one-on-one video consultations.
If your child is in primary school, needs a subject we don’t run a class for, or you’d like a tutor in your home, our 1:1 tutoring is the better fit. For Years 7 to 12, see our one-on-one QCE and high school tutoring.
How soon will we see a difference?
Most families see results within one term. Students who use every part of the program, including the workbook, the consultations and the student hub, often see them sooner.
How long do we sign up for?
The minimum commitment is one term. You can try a free trial lesson first, so you see how the class works before you commit.
Can we pay in instalments?
Yes. Payment plans are available, and we can talk through the options on the call.

Family-owned and founder-led
Jake and Leah
We run KeirEd ourselves. Leah is a qualified teacher, and Jake trained as a scientist and looks after the day-to-day running of KeirEd.
We built the Program so a student in a small class still gets individual attention, from a teacher-marked diagnostic before the first class to one-on-one consultations whenever they’re stuck.
“Leah and Jake have been fantastic, if I have any questions or concerns they are always the ones that sort it out with no hesitation.”
